Canadian Utility Construction (CUC), a Quanta Services company, provides quality underground construction services to utility companies throughout Western Canada. We specialize in a full range of construction and maintenance services for the Natural Gas Distribution and Transmission industry. CUC is currently seeking a Truck Driver to join our Victoria team and be responsible for driving single and multi-axle trucks in support of our natural gas distribution projects. In addition, this position will perform physical work with the rest of the crew at the job site.
The successful candidate will have
- A minimum of 2 years’ related experience in the landscaping or utility construction industry.
- A Driver’s License — Class 3 with Air plus a clean Driver’s Abstract is required.
- Experience transporting various types of equipment.
- Ability to drive dump truck, laod equipment and tow trailers.
- Ability to lift approximately 40 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment.
- Effective verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong belief in Live Safe.
- Knowledge of the geographic area is an asset.
